Sankalpa: Start the New Year with Your Heart’s Desire

And just like that, it's a New Year!

Have you thought about any dreams or goals for yourself for the New Year?   Or do you think "why bother?" because things are constantly changing and it is difficult to stick to goals or even make plans for next week!  I get it (really, I do!)

There is ONE thing that is constant in all of this impermanence, and that is YOUR DIVINE LIGHT.  She's always there, always present.  I truly believe we can connect to this Inner Wisdom when we can slow down, breathe deep, and set aside some time for ourselves.

For the last several years, I set a Higher Intention for the New Year called a Sankalpa.  It is the yogic version of a new year's resolution, but it is NOT an external goal such as losing weight or making more money.  It is an INternal vow like holding space for self-acceptance or abundance.

My Sankalpa statement is the foundation for my year.  Any goals that I may choose to pursue are in alignment with this heart-felt desire.

My Sankalpa this year definitely is going to challenge me!  It is:

I am WORTHY to express my Divine Light!

My encouragement to you is to set aside some quiet time for yourself and truly tune inward. Connect to who you wish to become, not just what you want at the moment. As the late Dr. Wayne Dyer states:

“We do not attract what we want, we attract who we are.

This becoming our heart’s deepest desire is at the core of creating a personal Sankalpa. If you need more guidance in this process, check out my audio course: Heart-Centered Resolution: Align Goals to Your Soul. It can be done at any time of the year!

Blessings, friend!
